I really want to learn how to crochet. Where should I begin?

That is so exciting that you want to learn how to crochet!  There are many free resources online that can help you begin your crochet journey.  For starters, you can check out my tiny basket tutorial. Youtube is a great resource for visual learners!

Which of your pattern do you recommend for beginners?

I recommend my tiny basket or small basket kits for beginners as they are very straight-forward patterns. If you’re really interested in a pattern, just give it a try!  If it ends up being too difficult you can always go back to trying an easier pattern!

Can I sell the products that I make using your patterns?

Yes, you may sell your finished products using my patterns.  I ask that you please clearly credit the design to me, Tamsin Leonard of 'The Left Hookery', and please provide a link to my website www.thelefthookery.co.uk Please do not use my photos when selling your work as this can be misleading for your potential customers.  Do not sell, reproduce or distribute my patterns in any manner, but feel free to link to my patterns!  Thank you for being respectful and for your understanding!

What does “*Dc 2, 2 dc in next dc*, 6 times” mean?

Are your crochet patterns written in UK or US terms?

All my crochet patterns are available in UK & US terms!

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes! I ship all over the world! Postage is automatically calculated at the checkout. Please note that orders outside of the EU may incur import taxes, which are the responsibility of the customer. Delivery times vary greatly depending on the end destination. Please see below for more info.​

How long will it take to receive my order?

All my items are handmade to order. Orders usually take around 1-3 working days to dispatch. Once dispatched you can expect your order within:

  • UK customers – 1-2 working days

  • EU customers – 3-5 working days

  • Customers outside of the EU – 5 -21 working days

Occasionally there might be delays in the postal system, which are out of my control. Please do check your postal service for any weather related delays, strikes or other problems.

My order hasn’t arrived yet! What do I do?

Don’t panic! Firstly, check to see when your order was dispatched and refer to the delivery estimates above. Please note that all estimated ‘working days’ refer to Monday to Friday and don’t include weekends. If it’s over your delivery estimate, please pop me a quick email with your name, order number and address and I’ll take a look into it for you. You can email me on tamsin@thelefthookery.co.uk

I’ve received my order but I’m not totally happy with it. What can I do?

That’s okay, no problem! Send me an email on tamsin@thelefthookery.co.uk and we can have a chat about what’s up and what your options are. Customer service is very important to me and I want you to be happy!

Do you take commissions?

Depending on the time of year I am happy to take commissions. Please email me to chat about what you'd like on tamsin@thelefthookery.co.uk​
