I got the kit at the Harrogate Knit and stitch. Really pleased with it. Easy to do, I'm a beginner, only leant to crochet this year. It is hard on the hands because its cord, but it makes a brilliant sturdy basket and is quick to make. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I did end up with a few extra stitches at the end, but crochet like this is very forgiving and the bowl looks great. I'm going to use it for fruit. I need to make another one now as my cat loves it and it fits her perfectly.
The kit comes with everything to make up the basket. Although I imagine it has to be if it is to hold its shape, the yarn is quite stiff to work with and crocheting with it is not relaxing. The instructions are very basic, and I had to supplement them with internet searches. The whole thing can be completed quickly, however, so it was easy to pull it back and start again when I made mistakes, or just when it didn’t look like it was supposed to.
